Mark Barnhart is the director of TouchPoint Recruiting Group, LLC, part of the TouchPoint Recruiting Group, LLC is a division of HRD Advisory Group. Mark assists clients in identifying and placing quality personnel and provides executive recruitment and placement services to his clients, including search services, market research, client-specific database creation and maintenance, and recruitment consulting. Prior to joining TouchPoint, Mark co-founded, and was a partner of, an award-wining Indianapolis-based search firm. He has more than 22 years of experience serving numerous clients in diverse industries.


Mark received a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University and is a Certified Personnel Consultant. Additionally, he is a Certified Employee Retention Specialist (CERS). With the CERS designation, Mark is one of select group of recruiting and staffing professionals nationwide who are certified to advise clients on specific recommendations to help find and retain top talent.

Associations and Community Involvement

Mark is a recipient of Junior Achievement’s “Indy’s Best & Brightest” award and had the honor of being selected by the Indianapolis Business Journal for inclusion in its “Forty Under 40” special report. He was also named The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2015 Man of the Year. Additionally, Mark is an alumnus of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series Class XXIX, where he was one of 25 people selected to participate in an intensive year-long program designed to help top business leaders become top community leaders.

Mark is the co-founder and president of the Circle City Foundation and is past president of the Indiana Search and Staffing Association. He also serves on the board of the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) as the Chairman Elect, and was named a recipient of the 2015 NAPS Norbert I. B. Fried Ethics Award.
